Two Charged in Sheldon Burglary Investigation

Sheldon, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Two men are in custody following a targeted Sunday afternoon (Jan 22) burglary in Sheldon. The local home was stripped of firearms and thousands of dollars of jewelry.

Police arrested 45-year-old Joseph Pedersen and 25-year-old Kyle Wagner Tuesday after tracking a 2003 Ford F150 alledgedly caught on camera fleeing the East Lawn Cemetery.

The report says on Tuesday, January 27, the investigation led to officers intercepting the suspects pick-up at a local business parking lot, and Wagner allegedly is seen on surveillance footage attempting to throw out drugs and scales, suspected methamphetamine.

Primary charges currently focus on Pedersen and Wagner, but authorities are looking into potential connections with another larger crime investigation.

Both men are currently being held in O’Brien County Jail with, and Wagner has a slew of felony charges and Pedersen is being held on several active warrants out of Texas.
