Woman Arrested on Assault Charges

POCAHONTAS COUNTY, IA (Northwestiowanow) — Pocahontas Police arrested a Pocahontas County woman on an assault charge early Saturday morning.

According to court records, 37-year-old Ashley Lynn Stougard was booked into the Pocahontas County Jail on June 13 at 2:19 a.m.  She is charged with assault with intent to cause pain or injury, a simple misdemeanor.  Jail records show Stougard was later released that same morning.

Court records indicate the case remains pending, with no further details released at this time.
